RheumNow is a news and information service. The backbone of what we do is educate with 2 primary types of news/info: 1) News articles; and 2) Tweets. This section is about how to curate (find & select) news articles and how to successfully post and publish these Monday through Friday.
News for rheumatologists and clinicians in musculoskeletal medicine is primarily identified by scanning numerous news sources for the best and most appropriate content to the busy, practicing physician or clinician. I recommend doing this by subscribing to emails and RSS feeds from major medical journals (NEJM, JAMA, etc.), rheumatology journals, and news sources germane to the audience.
Below is a list of email feeds that can be sent to your email. These will either come daily, weekly or periodically and need to be scanned for RheumNow eligible content:
- JAMA
- JAMA
- JAMA Internal Medicine
- JAMA Dermatology
- JAMA Network Open (find Rheumatology section)
- NEJM
Below is a list of RSS feeds (that need to be scanned for RheumNow eligible content):
Ig Home
Protopage RSS
Feedly.com
ACR press releases
MedPage Today
EurekAlerts
Talkwalker Alerts
A news article is one of the base types of articles on RheumNow. It is a factual piece, and includes title, author, date and time, and an image. It may also include an external link for additional reading. A news article is not an opinion piece (like a blog) but it may include an author or editor note to readers that offers clarity or a caveat. A news article may be published immediately, scheduled for publication at a future date/time, or posted as an unpublished draft. News articles may also be replicated.

The success of all news is based on A) The Title and B) front end image
